You will never find success by chance or luck. True success depends on how much you are willing to change, personally develop and sacrifice for it.  To become successful you must have the desire with an inner strength that's determined to achieve your goals no matter what it takes to get you there.  In other words, you must first redefine your mindset.  As I commented in my last post I had to take a good look at myself to see where improvement was needed.

I have been on a personal development quest to learn from the experiences of others who have paved the way to success. So far, I read books by Rick Warren, “The Purpose Driven Life”; Joyce Meyer’s “How to Succeed at Being Yourself”; Eckhart Tolle’s, “The New Earth, “Awakening to Your Life Purpose” and of course the best book ever written the “Holy Bible” (an ongoing process repeated yearly). And last, but not least the book by Jeff Olson, "The Slight Edge, a book that was an eye opener and one I greatly needed to read.

When I began my home based business with Prepaid Legal Services, I desperately wanted to be successful, but didn't do what was necessary on a consistent basis. I’ve now come to understand that success comes from following the procedures others have used ( and not reinventing the wheel) to create financial freedom.  Sharing information about a service that everyone needs is not a hard thing to do.

In order to really get exposure, I knew the internet was the best media to get this done. I know internet marketing is the way of the future and another tool to use that will bring the exposure I need to grow my business, but more on this topic in my next post. 

The first thing I needed to concentrate on before I saw any degree of success was to take a good look at "me". Sometimes we get in our own way and this was a major problem for me. I always figured that once I learned a technique for implementing a program I joined, there was always a better way of doing things–in other words, "my way". As I chronicle my personal journey to success in this blog, I have found one question for which we are all faced with at some point in our lives and it is, "how to release our inner greatness "? It is one that haunts many of us who have the desire to succeed and discover our true life’s purpose.

Each of us has been been blessed with unique talents or abilities, but tapping into that source of greatness depends on our desire for complete fulfillment and stage of consciousness in life’s cycle.  Some of you may go through life without ever seeking or finding an answer. Your accomplishments may have a sense of emptiness and you are not completely fulfilled no matter how much you acquire in physical assets. 

Your true  greatness can be found through inner awareness that reflects an alignment with the universe after realizing what you really want to do in life and you begin  doing it. When you are aligned with the universe every need or challenge encountered will end in positive resolve and satisfaction. To put it simply, as I like to say "everything will fall into place". Inner awareness allows us to connect and communicate with our utmost feelings that are not associated with ongoing thought processes and it allows us to focus on the present. 

My quest to release inner greatness within myself has been an ongoing process which involves five years of evaluating to understand and know exactly what I really want to accomplish in life. The title of the movie, "Are we there Yet"? is symbolic in meaning for me because I feel as though I am almost there as I continue to realize an awakening of consciousness. I feel a resurgence of energy within me  that  cannot be put into words. I briefly touched upon this subject in a previous post entitled, "Being Present in the Present". 

As you come closer to discovering your purpose you may experience the same sensation.  One morning you’ll wake up and know exactly what you need do to correct a problem or situation you may have been struggling with for years. Your mind will be clearer as you begin to live in the moment. For example, you may realize that the job or position you’ve worked at for years is not what you really want to do. You decide to quit your job and sacrifice the comfort you’ve known for something you’ve always dreamed of doing. I’m sure you’ve heard or read about people who have dramatically changed their lifestyles in order to do something totally different from what they did before.  It is a time in their lives when there is a period of awakening to a call of their true life’s purpose and the beginning of releasing inner greatness. 

As I stated earlier, discovering and releasing your greatness may come at any stage in life depending on your state of consciousness. The statement, "seek and you shall find" holds true to those who search for the real purpose and meaning of their lives, but you must realize that the answer can only be found from within. We are the gate keepers of our destinies that we we find through self awareness, endurance and personal development. 

Journeying toward your destiny as you discover and release inner greatness, you will understand the true meaning of William Henley’s,"Invictus", where he states, "I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul".

Success can be a road less traveled  for those of us who are not prepared for the journey. It is a road filled with many twist, turns and challenges. Everyone dreams of becoming successful, but having the right mindset before beginning this journey is essential for creating the winner inside.  We each have the ability to manifest what the mind conceives if our willpower is strong enough.

The key to success for accomplishing goals in your journey must include personal development that not only involves learning but implementing things you’ve learned. Every attempt at success is a step by step process. Having a positive mindset, confidence in yourself,  discipline, focus and determination are essential elements you must incorporate into daily practice to build strength of character.

My journey for success began several years ago. Becoming acquainted with the Internet was and still is an exhilarating experience. There is an enormous amount of information to absorb and understand and apply. The things I’ve learned and the people I’ve met along the way have been the foundation for my continuing success.

While searching for the "winner inside", I made a lot of mistakes because simply because I did not take the time to properly research the program before joining. But I use these failures as the learning tools they were meant to be and kept moving ahead. We must always remember that within every dark cloud there is a silver lining or a lesson to be learned. There is a winner inside each of us, where you begin your search depends on you!
