Fire Stats has been back on for 1/2 an hour with no problems!
It may go back down but I have the script author helping so I will make it work. (If everyone is quiet maybe it will keep working!)
NOT!
This is a blog network! Keep posting! Work the scrips and server!
By the way? I have just documented a few little problems anyone can have when operating their website or blog on their own hosting. I have not had to contact my host yet but if the problem arises again, that is the next step!
To have support from any software, script or your host to work on your site you need to send them your login info to your cpanel, script admin (s), databases…. ect. Just to find and send all of the info takes time, I have found that you play email or ticket tag, You post your problem…… the next day you get a request for more info…. the next day something else happens…. and on and on…. (Support at FireStats has been A1, no waiting!)
And you on the TBN free blog network? Probably wouldn’t have known there was a problem unless you happened on your blog when it was down. ( I have received no complaints so far!) All you have to do is post! Well maybe a little more than that
but you do miss out on all of the "Admin" problems, blog and network SEO, adding scripts and software to improve the members experience. Not to mention the marketing, promotion, and reading and commenting on the members blogs, training, posts and research…… well you get the idea.
I also have a job I generally work 50 hrs a week and a very understanding wife!
Now if you have trouble posting every day or so? Please get in touch with me so I can cry on your shoulder?
P.S. FireStats is a great script and will make a perfect tool for members to track their posts and general blog traffic! It will be very easy to see which post brings in the most traffic, or which keywords (tags) are being seen, even where the traffic is coming from! As a commercial provider, I will have to charge for FireStats. The author and I are working on the details now and it doesn’t sound like it will be a problem. First I have to get it stable!
