Post What?
Is telling everyone how much you still have to learn in an online post a good idea?
Do people searching the internet make their purchases or join income opportunities from the people posting about how much they are learning?
My opinion would be no!
The bad part is… I am sure I have done it before!
It is great to be online and finding great new things that interest you, then digging in and learning about them. Some even become experts! One can find most any information on most any subject online and learn all their brain can absorb. I believe a blog recording your progress on your chosen learning path would be a great idea and make for interesting reading. Maybe even lots of interaction through comments.
Everyone that is looking to improve themselves has a lot to learn. I learn constantly. Again I fall back to telling about what I have learned….. or how much what I have learned is helping make my life easier…….Instead of ever stating "I have a lot more to learn".
First, this is a negitive on a positive action. Never a good idea.
Next, it tells the world you do not feel confident in what you are doing….. Not a real customer or business partner getter…..
Third, "I have a lot more to learn" holds no information your readers except maybe they are looking in the wrong place! I have found when I have trouble putting together a post, or coming up with an idea for a new post. I am better off finding something else to do. Everyone makes mistakes, the secret is to know when to be quiet and only post when you are feeling good and the creativity is flowing! I also have been so excited about letting everyone know about something that I do hurried posts that turn out missing my inended focus intirely when read from a different prospective.
Something I think would work excelent is planning your main post a few days in advance. research it, post small lead ins to gather your readers interest, hold it a few hours after completion and read it aloud (better yet have someone read it to you), do one final edit if needed and only then…..post! Wouldn’t that make for some great reading?

I have done it too, Scott. Probably more than I would like to remember. Can’t say that letting people know how much I am learning and how much I don’t know has been very effective either. What I am finding is that there are some (like you) who know a whole lot more) and there are others who know a whole lot less than I do. I am agreeing with you as I market as if I know, and let you and a few others like you how much I need to learn.

Thanks Judy,
Letting the people you work with know is one thing. Telling the world you are trying to sell to…. might tend to set your profits back a little!
Beginners usually have no idea what to post and probably think something is better than nothing. They should remember that everything they post online can stay online forever! I know I have been caught in the excitement of a promotion and made some bad decisions! The best safe gaurd is to not post immediately, but wait a few hours and read again before posting.
