Online Presence

You will need to establish a huge online presence to compete with the pro’s online

Just sticking up one web page and thinking every person that is interested in that product is going to land on your page is no more than a dream.  Want to know why? Try a search yourself! If you didn’t bookmark your page….. you may never find it again!

Really. Doing a search for the keywords or tags you are thinking of using is the best way to be found in the end. Hone your search terms to the ones with less competition…. under 1 million time it was found is best. Only people with huge web presence can compete with any more competition.

So…. What is web presence? It is the information you have posted online and the links in you have gained. Everything pointing in to your site is adding to your web presence! Every tag or keyword you use is a link in from a search engine so chose them carefully! Your tags or keywords must explain your page or post, or be the action you are looking for when someone visits your post. Anything pointing to your post that is off target will cause the visitor to click away and probably never come back!

Your web presence will be your online business reputation. It will show new visitors why they should trust your information and products. A small home business even selling the latest Hot Biz Opp should be selling the reasons why joining under you is better that the other 40,000 people selling the same thing. You need to create your own edge! Whether selling a product you make or an affiliate product you make commissions from, you need to let every visitor that sees your pages know they should be on your team. Interesting, informative articles by you, placed on high ranking sites, linked back to your blog posts or web site do 2 things.

1. Builds your web presence

2. Creates links in to your site or more roads for people to find to get to your site, blog or web page.

There are many things to consider when building your web presence by posting blog, forums, and articles on other sites and unfortunately, it takes work from you! Getting actual traffic from these posts can be almost as hard as organic search engine traffic. The sites have so many members, there may be lots of competition for the tags or keywords on that site or community for you to be seen without a lot of work at the site itself. This takes away from your time building your own site content and can be counter productive. Finding the right balance between building internal and external web presence will be a needed skill.

Any way you look at it …. the more content  you have online (it has to be interesting and informative) the better, You can have thousands of links in… but with no content to back them up. What good are they?

Every internet marketer or online biz owner is up against people with big advertising and design budgets, huge marketing teams, spam, post bots, and hackers. A little for thought, keyword research, some good ideas, regular posting on your blog, and a schedule for making the "outside site" rounds to keep everything tied together and active…. and anyone can still come out on top of the internet heap!
