Make your posts easy to find by using categories

Using common sense when blogging can be a good thing……  How do you search for anything online? Start by searching with a keyword or search term pertaining to what you are looking for…. Right? Do you always find what you are looking for with the first try? I sure don’t!

No 2 people are going to read an article or post and right down the exact same keywords. So how can you ever get people to find your post? You can just ad every keyword you can think of to your post….. But that will make it harder for your next post! Because everyone is blindly adding keywords in hopes of grabbing a little traffic, everyone has to work harder to be seen!

You can stack the deck in your favor by using only the most relevant keywords and making sure your blogs categories are correct also. As it works now, search engines find the keywords in the URL. Then the Title – category – post title – post heading – post content – heading 2 – ect…… If you leave out one of these elements like your category, or do not have the hierarchy correct, your readers and even the search engines will get lost!

Search engines are set up mainly for marketing so they make money, and probably always will be… Who doesn’t want to make a profit? They are making it harder for marketers to "fool" them by putting up "keyword pages" or "fixed meta tags" and moving more toward the content itself. This will force the people putting up blatant adds and non readable content to actually start posting real information relevant to the rest of their website or blog.

If you have a blog that is set up correctly, and you keep adding content regularly. You may beat out some crazy rich internet marketers!
