Web Traffic Tools

How do you know what you need or what will work when you are looking to generate more web traffic to your site?

Web Traffic Tools

You can either go with your gut and just pick the ones you think will do what you want or spend even more time researching each one you think might work before picking it up…

Of course the price will dictate the amount of research that is needed to an extent.

Site and software creators know you will research more for more expensive tools and compensate by providing more information. This can sometimes be one sided on their part so pay attention! A good marketer will have many different points of opinion at many different domains. Good research will easily reveal bogus testimonials and information. The rest grab you and have you downloading before you can think twice. They are usually free or very low cost. Sometimes these will work as well as more expensive tools but also usually require more purchaser input and knowledge.

Higher understanding of the web, search engines, and websites can save you money here but probably will also require more of your precious time. It is up to you to weigh the pros and cons and decide to spend money or time… Web TraffiCircle has a nice selection of traffic generation, list building and marketing tools that easily build multiple web traffic and income streams all linked by a marketing training membership. You can go find every tool you need yourself by searching and researching, but I bet you have better things to do with your time…. Like make money?

Still Not Making Money?

So you still believe The Internet means overnight success…

Web Visitors equal cash

I keep getting comments on my blogs and articles saying "I have been doing it this way but I just don’t make any money."

For you I have these questions:

  1. Have you, or are you building a list targeted to YOUR brand?
  2. Have you even created your own brand?
  3. Have you changed all information you had previously on the internet to your brand?
  4. Have you created a massive web presence for your brand?
  5. Is there any reason for new customers to trust your brand? If yes. Are they available online?
  6. Do you have any "real information" about you and your brand on the internet?
  7. Do you have targeted traffic funnels started, or sending traffic to your sites now?
  8. Are you working hours every day to get those few hits just to make nothing?
  9. Do you blog about something you love to do and talk about?
  10. Do you blog about a business you know almost nothing about?

Answer these 10 questions with careful thought. Do you think you are on the online success track?

Truth or Hype! Online income without Investment.

Most online income opportunities will say you can earn with their program without spending a dime.

Do They?

I now know of 2 actually allowing  you to earn without  monthly  cash outlay. I will not lie or hype you out by saying you can earn by joining and telling your friends about your new web page… Just state the facts.

  • You are allowed to earn income from the  CMU7 affiliate program without upgrading before we send your check or some other scheme requiring upgrading before earning.
  • CMU7 offers live online training in many online marketing areas free of charge. You do not have to stand there scratching your head trying to figure out what you are supposed to do. Come to the live online training where we explain different tools and marketing techniques, then answer your questions and work with you to help you understand!
  • CMU7 does offer paid membership levels that will enhance your online earning power and if no one upgrades….. no one earns. Simple. Target people wanting to pay for the services or products offered.
  • Web TraffiCircle allows free members to earn income. The same as CMU7, you only need to build your teams with people who can afford the upgrade to earn. CMU7 or WTC does not want that last dime you had saved but instead help you learn to earn online!
  • Web TraffiCircle does offer paid membership levels also. These memberships send you free targeted web traffic which added to the free traffic you build yourself from what you learn at the free  training will help you make money online. The hype that says you can "jump in" get your site and start earning?  Is only Hype

List Building – Twitter Style

Twitter Followers,  What to do with them?

Yes, Its the weekend and I have some time to post finally!

I chose Twitter this morning for 2 reasons. 1, Twitter is just plain HOT! 2, I have been building my Twitter followers quite quickly without a lot of work from me! I am not a tweet-oholic…..and am not Tweeting from work, my car, my phone, the bathroom, and anywhere else I can think of…. I Tweet what I am doing to improve myself and my marketing and do not overload the tweetesphere with every thought or movement I make. I hope my ideas and tips actually help my followers by at least  opening their mind to another possibility.

I see people building huge laser targeted lists with Twitter. Some are professional marketers and companies but some are people that do not know they are building a list, will never market to it, but are giving their followers the information they want!

I also see marketers trying to build a targeted Twitter follower list to market to and either are getting no followers or are building a non targeted followers list by accepting everyone and sometimes using other non-targeted or cross-targeted tactics to build their Twitter followers. I wish I could explain to these people why these practices are a mistake but have learned 90% of them have to learn their own way, so I just smile…. offer them a better way and move on!

Dissadvantages of Un-Targeted Lists

Any marketer should know the dissadvantages of building possibally huge but un-targeted lists.

  1. You have no idea what they are interested in.
  2. While easier to build a larger list, you have to work harder later to convert to sles or sign-ups.
  3. Higher chance of SPAM complaints
  4. Almost 0% chance of recurring sales

In the recent past, internet marketers have made money by SPAMMING and marketing to every person they could find an email address to. People got sick of that for some reason……. Sending ads to un-targeted lists will get you in trouble and brand you as a bad marketer. In other words, when people get something from you …… it goes in the trash, no matter how good it may be! The companies that told you to market that way don’t care because they have thousands just like you joining every day, and it was YOU that made the HUGE marketing mistake!

How To Build Targeted Lists

Even if you have been building untargeted lists, you canturn them into targeted lists.

Lists you can target:

  • Social community friends
  • Email address books
  • IM friends
  • Old untargeted lists

Most of these already have clues as to their target.

Social communities usually have a theme or main objective (although some have changed after building their targeted list, the target still remains the same). What did you join for? Send these friends requests to join targeted lists as discribed further below.

Your email addres books have people you know or spam email adresses, sort these out into categories and dump the spam addresses. They are probably discontinued anyway. The adresses left have a high conversion rate because (hopefully) hose people trust you! Do not send crap to them!

The same goes for your IM contacts. If you built your IM list with a friend builder…… It is going to take work to sort them out. You can go through them manually…. One by one. Or send them requests to opt in to targeted lists you have set up targeting something that you believe will interest them. You can send as many invites to different lists as necessary. Just do not Spam!

Old Lists can be sorted or renewed in the same manner as your IM and social community friends.

How does Twitter fit in?

You can use Twitter to build a highly targeted list and can target your "fun Twitter friends" list the same way as described above for your other lists.

If you have an exsisting Twitter account with some friends already you can continue it as is if you have built a huge list of followers. You are giving them what they want! Keep it up! To monentize that list, you must find the main target and offer products or services matching that target. Usually…… the fewer offers the better!  If you push your followers to hard, they will not be getting what they started following for and leave.

If you never did quite figgure out what to do with Twitter and only have a few followers with no target, This is your chance! What would you like to tell the world about? Set this as your target and start tweeting about it! Search twitter for your target keywords and start following  others tweeting about your subject. Twitter is Micro Blogging….. short bits of interesting info, People are loving it! Your followers wil grow faster than you may think! Remember! Twitter is HOT!

Multiply your Twitter Results

To target my Twitter followers closer, I needed to run multiple Twitter accounts. I found the best way to do this was with Tweet Later.

Tweet Later allowed me to do more from their one dashboard than most of the other Twitter tools out there so far. I can easily keep track of my accounts, Here are some available features…..

  • Set up instant tweets to any or all accounts
  • Tweet later To one or all accounts
  • Schedule recurring Tweets at any time to any or all accounts
  • View all or selected followers tweets
  • Auto Follow My followers and automatically send them a thank you for following me (user controlled)
  • Auto un-follow anyone that un-follows me (user controlled)
  • Search keywords you want to stay up to date on
  • Use your Tweet Later RSS feed as another account or use to tweet through RSS to any web page

As you can tell, Tweet Later has me excited but I haven’t told you the main reason yet!

To explain,  will tell you how I set up my Tweet Later account.

I signed on to Tweet later after doing quite a little research. With all of the Twitter Tools coming out, I wanted to be sure I got what I was looking for.

I was looking for something to control multiple Twitter accounts (so I could target each one to a different subject) Set up scheduled tweets to space things out when I was away and build my Twitter Followers Lists.

Signing up and basic setup was easy. My first tweet went out within a few minutes. As per Tweet Later instructions, I created another Twitter account (one thing I was planning anyway), because it would multiply my follower sign-up rate, and set it up on Tweet Later. A few minutes later a tweet went out on my new Twitter account (I had 0 followers on the new one and 72 on my origanal Twitter account).

This inadvertantally turned into a marketing test. I had a few followers on my old Twitter Account but had not done much with it. My new Twitter Account was for a new project I was building. The new account only got linked to this new project which is not promoted yet. My origanal account got linked to my blogs, membership site, and social community profiles (which are targeting my work and training and BTW both the Twitter user name and most of the profile user names are the same "burrdnut")

The new account (IMIC1) will tweet Internet marketing secrets, tips and tools with links to my training sessions and the IMIC Ning project updates. The "follow me" links are only on the IMIC Ning Project pages. I have used the Twitter find followers function to build the folowers here plus have the auto un-follow activated so I am not following people that are not interested in  IMIC plus send them an auto welcome mesage when they follow (I also auto follow to be fair) Setting it up with follow links only on pages targeting what will be posted on IMIC1 will target that list. The Auto follow keeps it fair, and the auto un-follow keeps it targeted. The auto message on follow allows me to welcome ever follower without having to manually send every one. (something that would take up a lot of time with lots of followers joining!). IMIC1  wil be an information tweet station with very little monentization but also be very targeted. I curantly have 24 followers and am following 145. This is without any work from me except a few tweets and placing a couple follow me links.

My origanal Twitter account "burrdnut" is the one that surprised me! Like I said I placed follow links on lots of my pages (the advantages of "web presence") but have done nothing else but post tweets. I have recurring tweets set up with questions like: Have you posted an a blog today? And. Bloggers!  Get more comments on your blog posts through Commentors, the comment club! with the link. I also run an ad service tweet a couple times a week. I try to ask questions of my followers to lead them to more targeted traffic, a positive outlook, and the road to more online income.

The surprise is I have been getting 5 or more followers a day since signing up with Tweet Later (203 followers as of today)! The only other thing I do different is post more tweets because of the Tweet later service!

Tweet later of course automatically  un-follows the non-interested followers that decide to leave which drops my list total but my goal here is not a huge un-targeted list, but a smaller list that is interested in what I am tweeting! Much less work for more money in the end!

If you build your Twitter list of followers with another service, try to keep your efforts targeted and use Tweet Later to keep your efforts to a minimum while automatically targeting your followers lists!
