Our Free Targeted Web Traffic is growing fast! Check the stats!

I have to be honest and say I had a few script problems here and there  adding features and automating seo as much as possible which slowed the traffic growth this month but I don’t believe 204,137 hits as of today with 181 blogs is to bad for being live only one month.

Our top Blogger Holly looks like she will make 2000 hits this month. Figuring a low $1 a lead that would be $2000 she saved this month! And we have just got started!

How much Free Targeted Web Traffic do you get?

There is a reason why there are so many new blog networks popping up. They work to get their members massive targeted web traffic!  They all have their own "tricks" but I want to warn you that there is no free lunch, you will have to work for it and post well researched articles and do your own linking ect….. if there is something out their doing it all, they won’t give it to you free! Would You give that away?

The Basics are, whether here at Traffic Blog Net or at one of the other blog networks, Well researched and written Original Posts! I don’t care what they tell you, You will need some very good content on your blog to get the search engines interested and keep them ranking you higher. Don’t run  away yet! It does not have to be perfectly done by a professional copywriter, and every post doesn’t have to be your original (as long as the original gets their credit! I also recommend adding your thoughts and reason for using the article.) Anyone can write a short search engine friendly article about something they know about every day. With a little coaching and practice you can be a pro in no time.

Blog networks are hot! A great way to get super targeted web traffic! I recommend joining  any that will work for you, but be sure you have time to post almost everyday in each of them!

You all should have been added to the new TBN Mailing list. This list is for sending members updates, Tips, Training  reminders. It also can be used by you to contact all TBN members! Now before you go sending out your ads……. this list has strict filters on it and will delete all ads, kick out spammers and send me a notice to delete their blog.

If you have a good product or service that will help the members, by all means send out the information!  NOT AN AD!  but information on how it works and can help each of us. Otherwise you will be in trouble……

I have also noticed quite a few bot installs and will delete them after a few days of inactivity. So if you happened to signup with a weird name and haven’t posted on your blog since you signed up your blog will go away!

This blog network will only work for all of its members with good quality information on all of our pages. If you suspect a  spam or bot  blog  please send its blog name and url to support@trafficblognet.com

This is a copy of the article I posted in the Web Traffic 101 Google Group. I am hopping this group will work well as a support group for the Traffic Blog Net Community

Your most important and one of the first decisions you must make when
starting a blog is your "niche" or what your blog will be about.

Once this is done, everything else will fall into place.

There are many ways taught on this subject, but I believe people will
do it their own way so here is just a few guidelines that should help
you get great results.

First write down what you like to talk about (what interests you the
most? can be more than one thing)
Yes write it down…..
Next, write down what you know how to do (put down everything and
don’t sell yourself short)
Write these in separate columns.
Now see if any are the same  or close in subject.
Whittle them down till you have a niche or subject selected.
Don’t throw this paper away!

Make a list of key words or search phrases that will most closely
describe your niche or subject.
Now you need a Google account or access to some webmaster or keyword
tools.
Search your selected key phrases to see if people are actually
searching for that phrase. Only a few hundred searches a week will ad
up with 10 or more phrases so don’t rule them out! Try to match the
subject you will be talking about on your blog or article, people
won’t read it if its not what they searched for. Now with your key
word tool, search to see how much competition each search term has.
The lower the better here.

Write down all results and Don’t throw out!
If there seems to be way to much competition, try different search
terms, ask a friend what they would use to search for what you are
doing. Still to much? Start over again. This is where the saved
research comes in, you don’t have to duplicate that.

I know ….. this sounds like a lot of work but let me tell you, it
will save you much more in the end plus start you out on a track
toward your success.
I can guarantee you traffic fast if you start out in this manner.  It
will make everything easier for you from this point on.

I found yet another reason why the stats  were falling. I had another feature I was adding to make the user experience better, but had yet to make work (a member to member Mailer). I had a little trouble removing it but once I completely removed it everything went back to normal and it looks like the stats have already started to rise again. I also removed any others I had not got working yet….

It is amazing how some little (or sometimes its big) script can effect your traffic flow and SEO.

I can feel the stability of the site now. Everything seems a little faster and I think it works better. Some of the other multiblog software I have worked with was very finicky, more so than WP MU.

The little "glitch" we had, dropped the traffic from a high of 11,500 hits on the first of June, only a few days after the site went live and 324 unique visitors on the day we went down to 7214 hits with 133 uniques yesterday! I consider this very good for being brand new with 20 blogs now some of which having very little content. I haven’t even posted proper posting techniques to maximize the traffic to each post.

I still have work to do on the SEO and sitemap generator which will boost traffic even more but well thought out and researched articles will be the base of the traffic we get. The better your article or post (even a short blurb of info) the more visitors you will get!

Use only a few targeted search phrases or keywords that describe your article or post. and do it for every post, then after a few hours or the next day, do a search for those words. You Will be surprised if you used word or phrases with less than a few million competitors.

If you do not know how to ad (keywords, search phrases, tags), there are features on your blog to help you and should be turned on in the plugin section. there is "headspace" for entering the title and description, so search engines can find your information and I added a couple of "tags" plugins to help you chose and fill in the (keywords, search phrases, tags).

Word Press has lots of helpful info on their sites and I have  started a Google Group for you to use to ask  questions and find guidance from our support team and other members. Traffic 101

First off, I will start with the bad news. We are finding that some of the themes will not work in IE, and some will not work in Fire Fox. We are working on the problem and will post a list of the problem themes as soon as we have gone through them all again and repaired the ones we can quickly.

As we check the themes, we are adding a security measure that will not allow others to copy from your pages. This has to be added to each theme so it is taking a while,  we are also finding that some themes do not like the  security script ….. just another little challenge. You may also want to join our Google Group to ask questions and ad your comments.  I do plan to ad our own forum as we grow, but Google Groups will make another great web traffic source.

Now! For those non believers! The traffic stats for the last of May. This Domain was purchased on the 26th, Set up was done the next 2 days. By the 31st we had 98 unique visitors with 629 page views!

The first day of June we had 133 unique visitors with 658 page views!

We now have 9 blogs and I know some of the traffic was these people building and the support crew adding features and fixing problems along with some stray hits which I have taken care of so that our stats will be showing correctly  without stray image hits. But if we keep growing at this pace ….. a million uniques a day will be here soon!
